Cancel Your Opensolr Subscription or Close Your Account

Pricing & Billing

Cancelling a plan and closing an account are two different things. Cancelling stops the payments and leaves you a free account you can still sign in to. Closing removes the account itself.

01 · Cancel your plan

Billing › Cancel Plan

In the top menu of the Control Panel. It appears only while a paid plan runs. Read the message, then confirm.

Your account moves to the free plan at once

No more payments are taken. You can still sign in, and the limits of the free plan apply.

What happens to your money

A New Account that cancels inside the money-back window gets every payment back. Every other cancellation turns the unused part of the period into account credit, not money. The rules are in section 8 of the Terms and Conditions; the Cancel Plan message applies them to your account.

Indexes over the free limits stop answering

An index above the free plan's disk or traffic limits becomes unreachable until you are on a paid plan again. Download what you need first: Download backup files.

Step by step: Change or cancel your plan. A yearly plan: Stop a yearly subscription from renewing. A card that keeps failing: What happens when a renewal payment fails.

02 · Paying less instead

If the price is the problem, a smaller plan keeps your indexes running. Every change is pro-rated: you pay or get credit only for the difference over the unused part of the period. See upgrades, downgrades and refunds.

03 · Close your account

Write one email from the account address

Send it to support@opensolr.com with the subject Delete my account. There is no self-service delete button.

Handled as a GDPR erasure request

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection all go to the same address: Privacy Policy.

Ask for a copy first

You can ask for a copy of your personal data before the account is erased. Afterwards there is nothing left to export.

Invoices are kept

Accounting law requires issued invoices to be kept. Download the ones you need from Billing › Invoices Dashboard first.

What is deleted and what is kept, item by item: Delete your account and your data.
