Every upgrade and every downgrade is pro-rated, whatever your billing period. You pay, or you are credited, only the difference for the days you have not used yet.
The unused part of the period you already paid for is what the arithmetic is based on.
01 · How to upgrade or downgrade
Sign in to your account
Open the pricing page
opensolr.com/pricing, also reachable from the top navigation and from the Billing section of your control panel.
Choose your new resources
Use the customization dropdowns to pick indexes, disk size, bandwidth and the rest.
Confirm, then wait five to ten minutes
That is how long the change takes to be live. There is nothing else to do afterwards.
02 · Pro-rated billing
You are charged or credited only for the remaining days of your existing plan that have not been used. This also covers the case where a recurring payment was rejected and you decide to place a new order instead of simply updating your billing details. If that is where you are, start with managing your payment method.
03 · Refund policy
Refunds: new accounts, first 10 days
A refund in money is available only for new accounts, with no previous paid orders, and only within the first ten days of using a paid Opensolr service.
After that, unused days become credit
Purchases are final, but the unused days of a cancelled subscription are converted to account credit toward a future upgrade or renewal. See cancelling your subscription.
