Install the Opensolr Turbo Indexer Drupal Module

Composer, enable, check the commands

Install the module

The Turbo Indexer is a normal Drupal module, published on Drupal.org. It has no settings page: every choice is an option you add to the Drush command.

  1. From your project folder (the one with composer.json), add the module:
    composer require drupal/opensolr_turbo_indexer
  2. Enable it. Its machine name is opensolr:
    drush en opensolr
  3. Check that the commands are there:
    drush list --filter=opensolr
    You should see opensolr:turbo, opensolr:stats, opensolr:stop, opensolr:reindex and opensolr:rebuild.
Before you install
Search API and Search API Solr must already be in the project; the module depends on both. The full list is on Requirements.

Your first run

drush oss
drush ost --server=my_solr_server
drush oss

Replace my_solr_server with the machine name of your Search API server (drush search-api:server-list shows them). What each command does: All commands.

Updating

composer update drupal/opensolr_turbo_indexer

Stop any running session with drush osstop before you update, then start it again.
