drush osrb - Rebuild the Search API Tracker

opensolr:rebuild, when the tracker is out of sync

drush osrb

drush osrb (full name opensolr:rebuild) rebuilds the Search API tracker: it drops the tracker's list of items and builds it again from the content that exists now. Every item ends up waiting for indexing. Nothing is deleted from Solr.

drush osrb [--server=ID] [--index=ID]

When to use it

  • The counts in drush oss do not match your content.
  • Items are missing from the index and drush osri does not bring them back.
  • After a database restore or a big migration.
  • Rounds keep repeating without the remaining count going down: the tracker lists content that no longer loads.

For a routine full reindex use drush osri: it is lighter, because it does not read every item again.

Options

--server

Rebuild the trackers of this server's indexes. Default: the first enabled Solr server.

--index

Rebuild only this index's tracker. Default: every enabled index of the server.

What you see

Rebuilding trackers for server: my_solr_server

  Rebuilding content_index... OK (299,123 items)

Done!

If an index fails, its line ends with FAILED and the reason. Then start indexing with drush ost.

For one index, drush osrb does the same as Search API's own drush search-api:rebuild-tracker (alias sapi-rt).
