Query Analytics Gains a No-Results Dashboard, Click Analytics With CTR, and Bulk Query Deletion

· Web Crawler · New Feature · All updates

Query Analytics gains three tabs' worth of new work: what people searched for and got nothing, what they actually clicked, and a way to clear out the noise.

01 No-Results Dashboard

The No-Results Dashboard is a new tab in Query Analytics that tracks every search returning zero results.

Each zero-result query is counted by unique IP rather than by raw page view, so a visitor refreshing the page five times counts once. The numbers reflect real people.

Use it to spot content gaps, missing synonyms, or pages the crawler has not reached yet.

02 Click Analytics with CTR

Click Analytics shows which search results people actually click, in a tab of its own with three views.

  • Top Clicked. The documents that get clicked most.
  • By Query. Click-through rates, query by query.
  • Low CTR. Queries where people search but never click.

All click data is IP-deduplicated and rate-limited, so bot traffic does not inflate the figures.

Query Analytics Queries No Results Click Analytics Bulk delete by checkbox — on all three tabs
Two new tabs sit beside Queries, and bulk deletion is available on all three.

03 Bulk query deletion

Queries can now be selected with checkboxes and deleted in one click, on the Queries, No Results and Click Analytics tabs alike. It is the practical way to clear junk, test queries, or inappropriate search terms out of your analytics history.
