01 What your visitors get

  • Answers from your content. Every question is searched in your Opensolr Index first; the answer recommends your own pages, products and documents and links each one, a PDF to the exact page.
  • Written as it comes, in the language of the question.
  • Facts it never guesses. Today's date, the local time anywhere, exchange rates, VAT rates and VAT numbers, distances, postal codes, places with a map link and where an IP address is are looked up.
  • A chat window built for people. A New chat button, links that open in a new tab, Arrow Up to bring back earlier messages, a window that resizes from its top corner, one question at a time.

02 Commands that answer at once

A message starting with a command is answered without waiting for the assistant: /search, /time, /rate, /vat, /vatcheck, /distance, /place, /postal, /ip, /language, /translate and /help. Typing / lists them as you type, and the ? button in the chat explains each with an example to click. /translate en-es What is this? translates texts of up to 10,000 characters, with a table of language codes in the chat.

03 Set it up

Enable Opensolr AI Search and the AI Chatbot module of the Drupal AI module, open the new Assistant tab and click Set up the assistant. The instructions and the limits per message, per conversation and per visitor are on the same tab. Questions use the AI requests of your Opensolr plan; most commands use none.
