Opensolr Search for Drupal 5.2.0: Drupal AI Search on Your Opensolr Index
Opensolr Search for Drupal 5.2.0 makes your Opensolr Index the search of the Drupal AI module. Drupal AI Search reads the content the module already sends, so nothing is indexed twice.
01 Drupal AI Search on the same index
- Words and meaning together. The exact words people type and what they mean count in one ranking, in every language of your site.
- The right page of the PDF. A page with an attached PDF comes back with the pages of the PDF that match, each with its snippet and a link that opens the PDF on that page.
- Highlighted snippets, one result per page. A page and its attached documents are one result, never duplicates.
- One click. The new AI Search tab sets up the Search API server, a read-only index and a search page at
/ai-search, a View you can change.
02 Try it, and look at the admin
- Search. On our Drupal demo site: clamp meter 771, Stromzange in German.
- The admin. Log in as
demo, passwordopensolr-demo: every setting of Opensolr Search, AI Search, Search API and the AI Search view is open to look at. It is read only, nothing you change is saved.
03 Search page on or off
- One checkbox. At the top of the Search Page tab, it turns the page at
/opensolr-searchoff when the site searches another way: the page, its search box block and the redirect of Drupal's search forms all go away.
04 One document per page
- Crawled or ingested, the same result. A page sent by Data Ingestion and the same page fetched by the Web Crawler are now one document. Indexes filled by earlier versions should be reset once, then ingested or crawled again.
- Attached documents follow their page. With real-time sync, saving a page also sends its attached documents, and a document taken off a page is sent again on its own.
- Removed right away. Unpublishing or deleting content now removes it from the index at once in Data Ingestion mode too, with the pages of its PDFs.
