Solr Admin Is Now a Tab of Your Index Control Panel
Every Opensolr Index has a new Solr Admin tab in its control panel. It shows what you used to look up in the native Solr admin interface, which is now turned off on all Opensolr servers.
01 What the tab shows
- Overview. Documents, deleted documents, segment count, version and size of the index, and the Solr and Lucene versions.
- Replication. The role of the index, version, generation and size, polling, the last replication and failed replications.
- Segments info. Every segment with its documents, deletions, size, creation date and Lucene version.
- Query. Search queries with q, fq, sort, start, rows, fl, df, defType and qf, answered as JSON.
02 Read only, on every Solr version
- Nothing on it can change your index. No writes, no configuration files, no core actions.
- Works with your IP rules. The data is read on the server of the index, so IP rules and handler limits do not block the tab.
- Open it from anywhere in the panel. The Solr Admin button in Quick Actions, the menu on the left, or the Documents and Disk figures on the Info tab.
03 The native Solr admin interface is off
- Your APIs are unchanged. Search, updates, schema, replication and every other Solr API of your index keep working with the login of the index.
- Changes go through the APIs. To add or delete documents or edit the schema, use the Solr APIs of the index or the Configuration tab.
