Web Terminal Now Asks for Your 2FA Code Before It Connects

The web terminal of your Managed App Hosting servers gives full access to the server. It now connects only after you enter your 2FA code.

01 A code before every connection

  • Asked on the Terminal tab. A dialog over the terminal asks for your 2FA code: from your authenticator app, by SMS with the Send SMS button, or a recovery code.
  • Enforced by the server. Without a valid code the terminal does not open and no command runs.
  • Your own code. Each team member enters their own code, never the account owner's.

02 Valid while the page stays open

  • One code per page. Disconnect and connect again on the same page without a new code.
  • Reload asks again. Reloading or closing the page ends it; the next visit asks for a new code.
  • Keep it open. Leave the terminal page open while you work and use another browser tab for everything else. The rest of the page stays usable while the dialog is shown.
