Server Management: WireGuard Private Network, Your Laptop in It, and Pages Only You Can Open

· Server Management · New Feature · All updates

Your servers can now talk to each other over an encrypted private network, your laptop and phone can join it, and any page of your sites can be hidden from everyone but you. All of it from one new place: System › Security, on every server in Server Management.

01 A private network between your servers

  • One click. Setup WireGuard installs it on the server, creates its key on the server and gives it a private address.
  • You pick the links. Tick which of your servers talk to each other and save. Only your own servers are listed.
  • Locked down. The private key never leaves the server, and the WireGuard port opens only for the servers and devices you linked.
  • Live view. Every tunnel with its address, last handshake and traffic.

02 Your laptop and phone in the network

  • Add a device with the public key from the free WireGuard app. Its private key stays on the device.
  • Any network. Home, office or mobile data: allow the networks it connects from, or all of them.
  • Config in one click. Copy the lines for the app, activate, and turn on On-Demand so it connects by itself.

03 Pages only you can open

  • Protected URLs answer 404 to everyone except what you tick: your devices, your servers, the Opensolr web crawlers.
  • Any site on your server. Admin areas, internal documentation, staging pages: type the URL, everything under it is covered.
  • Still indexed if you want. Tick a web crawler and your hidden pages can still go into your search index.

04 Help where you need it

Every tab has short help buttons that open the steps in a dialog, and the open tab stays in the address bar, so a refresh brings you back to it.
