Varnish Full-Page Cache Is Now Configurable From the Opensolr Control Panel

· Server Management · New Feature · All updates

Varnish full-page cache is now fully configurable from the control panel. The Varnish card in your server’s Services tab has a new Configure button.

01 Two ways to edit

Most of what people need from Varnish is a list of pages that must never be cached — shopping carts, product compare, anything that differs per visitor. You can now add those cache-exclusion rules directly, with a built-in URL tester to check a rule matches what you think it matches, and a one-click purge of the pages a rule covers.

If you would rather work at the level Varnish itself works at, you can edit the raw VCL in the same place.

02 A typo cannot take your site down

Every save is backed up, compile-tested and applied with zero downtime. A mistake in the configuration is caught before it is applied, so it can neither take your site down nor throw away a warm cache.

Setting up Varnish for the first time? The editor opens with a commented, production-tested starter template that walks you through the whole wiring.
