Opensolr Search for Drupal 3.3.3: Sitemap Registration on Save and Connect Fixed
Two fixes in the Drupal module, released as 3.3.3. Save & Connect was not registering the sitemap URL with the crawler, and Save & Start Fresh was not deleting the previous index before creating a new one.
01 The sitemap is registered on every save
Save & Connect completed without handing the sitemap URL to the crawler, so the crawler had no list of pages to work from and the index stayed thin with nothing on screen to explain why. The sitemap is now registered on every Save & Connect and on every Save & Start Fresh.
Save & Connect succeeded, but the crawler never received the sitemap URL.
Both Save & Connect and Save & Start Fresh register it.
02 Start Fresh really starts fresh
Save & Start Fresh created a new index without deleting the previous one. It now removes the old index first, so the operation does what its name says.
