Fleet-Wide Solr Security Hardening: Older Version Patch and Server-Side Request Controls

· Security · Improvement · All updates

A potential security issue affecting older Apache Solr versions has been patched, and server-side request controls have been strengthened across our entire Solr infrastructure.

01 What changed

  • Older Solr versions patched. The issue only affects older Apache Solr releases; the patch closes it wherever those versions are still running.
  • Stronger request controls. Server-side controls over which requests a Solr instance will accept have been tightened fleet-wide.

02 What you need to do

Nothing. The update was rolled out to every server automatically. Your indexes and your data are unaffected.

No customer action is required. There is no reindex, no restart on your side, and no configuration change to make.
