Service Status Page: Inflated Downtime Durations Fixed

Downtime reporting on the Service Status page was wrong. Servers were showing inflated downtime durations, in some cases hundreds of hours, for outages that had in fact been brief.

01 What changed

The durations shown on the page are now the actual ones. Only the reporting was affected: the outages themselves were as short as they always were, but the page made them look far worse. If you looked at Service Status before this fix and drew conclusions from the numbers, they are worth looking at again.
