Documentation > Billing > How does Opensolr Work?

The services we provide are hosted in various regions worldwide (including US-EAST / US-WEST, Canada, EU-EAST, EU-CENTRAL, EU-WEST, Mainland China, Hong-Kong, Australia, and others), using various 3-rd party data center / cloud providers.
Most of these are in AWS and Hetzner AG, but we can accommodate other providers for any custom, dedicated plans.

We mainly use very large, bare metal servers, which are securely containerized, so the resources per each Solr Index that resides on these machines are dynamically allocated and scaled globally depending on each Index usage, so the performance will always be the same regardless of the package you chose.
The limits will simply be on the disk space, consumed bandwidth, and the Level of Support and Uptime (SLA) that is guaranteed for each Tier of pricing.
Therefore we have the resources outlined as: Number of Indexes (Index License), Disk Space, and Monthly Traffic Bandwidth, each explained throughout our documentation pages, and of course you can customize (upgrade or downgrade) these at any time during your membership.

All our plans are currently pre-paid, so there are no hidden costs, or extra fees, other than what you see on the Checkout area of the Pricing Page.
We also provide fully dedicated Managed Solr Cloud services, as described here.

Register for a Free Trial account, where you will be able to Login and chose the desired Solr Version and Region, and Create your Opensolr Index, or, if using a CMS System such as Drupal, you can go ahead and use the Search API Opensolr official Opensolr module, which will pretty much do everything for you, from creating your Opensolr account, all the way down to setting up your Opensolr Server connection, and Solr Configuration Files.

Alternatively, you can learn more or troubleshoot how to Create your Opensolr Index, from our documentation pages.
