Documentation > Billing > Upgrade Opensolr Resources

The Opensolr service, runs on a set of resources:

  • Indexes - standalone Opensolr indexes residing in various regions worldwide.
  • Clusters - resilient cluster of servers working as an Opensolr Index, which offers many other benefits, as described here.
  • Disk space - the disk space used by each one of your Opensolr Indexes or Clusters.
  • Bandwidth - the outgoing data traffic going from the Opensolr infrastructure, to your website or application.

When do you need to upgrade your plan?
You generally need to upgrade, when your Free Trial is over, or, you ran out of either one of the above resources.

For example, let's say you have 1 Opensolr Index, and that index ran out of disk space.

  1. Check your index disk space consumption:
    1. Go to your Opensolr Control Panel - Index List.
    2. Click on your index name:

    3. Check the disk space in your Opensolr Index Control Panel:

Next, you will get to the customization area, where you can select more disk space, bandwidth, indexes, clusters, or any other resource.

  2. Do the same for any other resource, including when you need more indexes, you would simply select more indexes.
All upgrades and downgrades are pro-rated so you always only pay for what you use.
