Our Solr Cloud Services

Opensolr offers 4 major types of hosted solr instances:

  1. Standalone Shared Solr Cloud
    • Our Shared Solr Cloud, provides an easy way to get started instantly with your solr idex.
    • Register for a free trial account, and get started within minutes.
    • It gives you the option to fully customize your solr configuration files, get full request analytics, one-click production replication, and more.
    • You can create your solr index in any datacenter worldwide (azure, aws, etc)
    • Share a dedicated server's resources with other users, to optimize costs.
    • Ideal for small applications or websites that use Solr.
    • The pricing on our shared cloud is located at https://opensolr.com/pricing, and it starts at $10 / Month
  2. Simple Dedicated Solr Cloud
    • You get the full features of our Standalone Shared Solr Cloud, the only difference is that you are not sharing the server's ressources with other members, rather you will have your own dedicated Solr instance, using the full resources of your server.
    • Any legacy, or the latest Apache SOLR version is also supported, and can be installed for the Simple Dedicated OpenSolr Cloud
    • Supports NewRelic integration, for any number of agents in your opensolr dedicated instances.
    • Even though there are no limits imposed on the bandwidth or disk space for this package, pricing depends on the number of indexes you wish to create, and will be discussed with one of our pre-sales representatives at support@opensolr.com
    • More details here.
  3. Shared Resilient Cluster
    • Use the full features of the Dedicated Solr Cloud, however there are a few differences:
    • It is comprised of at least 3 shared servers that work together, along with at least 2 shared load balancers, that will not only ensure High Availability, via load balancing your requests, but will also ensure read-write separation, so that your CPU intensive write requests, will be processed by a standalone master server, and they won't interfere with the load balanced, front-end read queries, thus providing for much better performance as well, when compared to the Simple Dedicated Cloud, or the Standalone Shared Solr Cloud.
    • A basic schematic diagram is represented here in order to better describe the process.
    • Even though there are no limits imposed on the bandwidth or disk space for this package, pricing depends on the number of resilient cluster indexes you wish to create, and will be discussed with one of our pre-sales representatives at support@opensolr.com
  4. Dedicated Resilient Cluster
    • It basically provides the exact same features as the Shared Resilient Cluster, however, the resources are NOT being shared, your servers are fully dedicated to your solr instances only.
    • Any legacy, or the latest Apache SOLR version is also supported, and can be installed for the Dedicated OpenSolr Resilient Cluster
    • The system is comprised of at least 3 fully dedicated servers, (one master and 2 replicas), at least 2 dedicated load balancers, that work together, just as in the case of the Shared Resilient Cluster.
    • Supports NewRelic integration, for any number of agents in your opensolr dedicated instances.
    • Even though there are no limits imposed on the bandwidth or disk space for this package, pricing depends on the number of resilient cluster indexes you wish to create, and will be discussed with one of our pre-sales representatives at support@opensolr.com
